The powerful documentary tells the story of Matthew Shepard, a 21-year-old gay man murdered in Laramie, Wyoming in October, 1998. His murder made headlines around the world and set the stage for historic anti-hate crime legislation. Directed by a close personal friend and produced by a former Facing History student, the film examines the dangers of hatred and intolerance through a truly personal lens.

Following the screening, we will be in conversation with filmmakers Michele Josue and Liam McNiff. As part of Facing History's national series of Community Conversations, this event is free and open to the public.
